The Founder |
Prathyasha Foundation was created by Simon George, 40 years of age, who was paralyzed below his abdomen and lost the use of his both legs, due to an unknown disease in 1986. At that time, he was student of Mechanical Engineering at the Mar Athenasious College of Engineering, Kothamangalam, Kerala. After this tragedy he went through an extended period of painful experiences.
His experience encouraged Simon George to get in touch with people with similar painful experiences. He overcame his pain through a deep faith in God. He found happiness and peace in life in spite of his physical disability.
He decided to dedicate his life for the service of physically disabled persons like himself by inspiring them and giving them hope to lead a happy and meaningful life. The Prathyasha foundation is the fruit of many years of his hard work and planning. He hopes to serve physically disabled persons through this Trust by undertaking projects and programmes for their rehabilitation and well-being. |
