The Prathyasha Foundation is founded and managed by a team of people who are themselves handicapped. They truly know and understand the very extend of suffering and pain that a disabled person has to undergo. It is to alleviate this pain and suffering that the foundation was formed.
There are around 30 lakh disabled persons in Kerala today. Many of them are prisoners of excruciating suffering and pain, neglected by society and resigned to their fate.
Mobility is a major problem faced by most. And therefore many of them are unable to make use of whatever little opportunities that are available to them. This makes achieving a good education, means of livelihood or a normal family life virtually impossible.
The humble efforts of the Prathyasha Foundation are to lift them from this dire mess and help them step out confidently into the mainstream of life and becoming worthy contributors to the society.
The Prathyasha Foundation is perhaps the only organization in India working towards evolving a complete family for the physically disabled. |

An Appeal |

The foundation appeals to the diaspora's of Malayalee brothers and sisters all over the world and especially to Malayalee organizations like the Fokana, AKMG, World Malayalee Council, Malayalees Associations, Malayalee Samajams especially in the UK, USA and Canada to extend their charity activity to encompass the Prathayasha Foundation too. We welcome you to actively participate in the programs of the foundation aimed at the welfare of our brethren in India, especially in Kerala.
